I’d appreciate if people could reblog this, because this is a thing that ace people constantly have to deal with. A huge number of people, especially the L and G (but I have seen it from bi and pan people too) love to claim asexuals are ‘secretly straight’ in order to exclude us in much the same way they try to exclude bi and pan people from the community.
Like I have literally received death threats and suicide provocation for saying that ace people belong in the community and nearly all of them called me ‘secretly straight’ or some variation there-of and I can’t be the only ace person who’s had to deal with this crap. We are not straight.

Hey everyone, I haven’t been on here for awhile, but I’ve been going through a little bit of financial trouble taking care of my rescue cat.
This is Keiko. Three months ago, she was abandoned by my estranged sister and left with my parents. It was within a few weeks that her health began to deteriorate. She stopped eating, her voice became hoarse and raspy, and she rapidly lost weight. Around Thanksgiving, I, with the help of my gracious, kind roommates made the decision that something had to be done. We took her into our home with rehabilitation and medical treatment in mind. We had all had previous experience with animal healthcare, one of us being a vet technician in training. Through many tests we’ve come to help her recover, she can eat, she can speak, and she can play, living as any healthy cat should. Recently though, on her latest check up, we discovered that she may be suffering from diabetes. Diabetes for cats can be a very lengthy and pricey condition to treat. This is where you can help. I’m trying my hardest on my own to save, and fighting my own stubborn pride to ask for your help. I may not be able to consistently maintain her treatment, but I at least want to get her to a healthy point where I can find a forever home for her.
